Day 6: The Fortress and the big show

For todays edu-tainment we headed down to the train station as we where off to Malaga for castle fun-a-plenty.

After a quick train ride we hopped into a fleet of Taxi's and headed towards Gibralfarao castle. Our Taxi driver Jorge Katanezzgalla was a heavy set man who communicated through a series of clicks and grunts like a cross between skippy the bush kangaroo and flipper. he was to say the least a bit scary.

The storming of the fortress

Shamefull product placement!

You know you want it... more trick photography!

Dodging the marauding hordes of students I snuck off to get some scenic photos

Here is Annie Mason, its her birthday today, she wasnt aware that i was going to take this photograph as you can tell from the slightly stunned look on her face.

A now composed Annie poses

Malaga cathedral

Her we see students recreating their own High

School Musical style pose.

She may be on a trip but that doesnt mean there isnt time to play the stockmarket.

Ah the familiar sight of English students doing press ups in the middle of the day in an ancient castle.

the descent from the fortress towards an unsuspecting Malaga. Gift shop owners prepare for a rush on straw donkeys and novelty fridge magnets. For the shop owners of malaga the credit crunch is about to end.

Samir Kattach shows the breadth of his kingdom, like Simba he believes thateverything the light touches is his.

The one great shame of this trip has been that none of the students can appreciate the joy at getting your photo taken next to a lifesize model of Norm from Cheers in a Spanish theme bar. This is the greatest moment of my life :)

And here is the second greatest moment.

After Malaga we head to the Plaza Mayor for an evening of Plastic cows, shopping and bowling.

two boys feel like riding a cow, one boy wants to milk it, I shudder at what the other boy might be contemplating.

Here are some of the beautiful maidens that wander the halls of the Plaza Mayor

Here we see Karl celebrating his strike at bowling and his new found powers of invisibility.

On our return to the hotel Students took to the stage and wowed the other hotel guests with their various talents,
Jake Sime is shown below singing up a storm.
Sadly the year 8 boys knife throwing act had to be cut short, latest news from the hospital is that the man will recover, but it wont grow back.

After the talent show we had a prize giving ceremony. where awards where given out to students who had stood out in their various areas of excellence.
here we see Sophia celebrating her 'least appropriate dress sense award'

After the show many of the guests stopped buy to tell us how much they enjoyed the show here are two of the many compliments we recieved.

As an added extra here we are singing happy birthday in Spanish to Birthday girl Annie Mason. Adele filmed this so expect twisty-on-the-wonk camera angles a plenty
